L'Imaginarium manque d'imagination
Le 16 février sera inauguré à Tourcoing l’Imaginarium, un espace de 8000 m2 destiné à accueillir des entreprises, des chercheurs et des artistes. J’ai découvert ce matin l’actualité “L’écran qui lit en vous” publiée sur le site Inria national.
Pour ceux qui ne l’ont pas lu (peu nombreux, sans doute…), ce texte parle de Kinect et d’interfaces cerveau-machine.
Je suis assez sidéré par son contenu. Pour moi, il cumule plusieurs défauts importants :

This is not head tracking
I like the idea of using OpenCV’s head tracker to explore novel interaction techniques for the desktop. But this example is wrong. Moving to the left should reveal icons previously covered by the left side of the window, not the right one. Interaction design is more than cool graphics… (and yes, Johnny Chung Lee got the interaction right).
